displaced but unbroken

The pandemic forced us out of our longtime home, and our drums now sit in storage, but the spirit of San Francisco Taiko Dojo never went silent.

our Community Keeps Us Going

With the support of our community, a small but resilient group of students and performers has kept training wherever possible, fostering a new generation of taiko players.

Honoring Tanaka Sensei

With Grandmaster Seiichi Tanaka facing health challenges, the urgency of this moment is clear: we must now honor his legacy and secure the future of San Francisco Taiko Dojo.

TO preserve our legacy

We are fundraising to protect our instruments, traditions, and teachings so future players can live the same experience that inspired us.
